The Motability Scheme enables disabled people to use their government-funded mobility allowance to lease a new car, scooter or powered wheelchair. It has enabled over 3 million people to lease a new car, which increases independence.  The scheme provides financial assistance to customers who would otherwise be unable to afford the mobility solution they need.

How do I know if I’m eligible?

If you receive any of the following allowances, you may be eligible to join the scheme:

·         Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (HRMC DLA)

·         Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (ERMC PIP)

·         War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS)

·         Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)

The Motability Scheme means that you can get a brand new car every 3 years from your nearest Motability accredited dealer. You can then come to us for your vehicle adaptations.
