The Motability Scheme enables disabled people to use their government-funded mobility allowance to lease a new car, scooter or powered wheelchair. It has enabled over 3 million people to lease a new car, which increases independence. The scheme provides financial assistance to customers who would otherwise be unable to afford the mobility solution they need.
How do I know if I’m eligible?
If you receive any of the following allowances, you may be eligible to join the scheme:
· Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (HRMC DLA)
· Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (ERMC PIP)
· War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
· Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)
For more advice on eligibility please see the Motability website: http://www.motability.co.uk/understanding-the-scheme/eligibility/
